Samsung Mobile CTO Resigning from the Company
Samsung Mobile’s Chief Product & Technology Officer, Omar Khan has announced that he is leaving the company shortly and heading to the US banking giant, Citi to head up its mobile services division.
Omar Khan has been at Samsung since April 2008, and was only appointed to his current role in February this year. Before Samsung he had been at Motorola for eight years.
In an email announcing his decision, he confirmed that “Nick Dicarlo and Gavin Kim will be assuming most of the product and service spokesperson responsibilities for Samsung Mobile.”
Khan has been largely credited with driving the company’s adoption of the Andoid smartphone platform.
