Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics and home appliances, has been ranked the highest in customer satisfaction for its clothes washers and dryers, ahead of all other global appliance manufacturers, according to the 2011 Major Home Appliance Study released by the J.D. Power and Associates, a prestigious U.S consumer research firm.
Samsung washing machines scored 834 points on a 1,000-point scale, well above the industry average of 783, to maintain its hold on the top ranking for the third consecutive year. Samsung washing machines also scored highest in ease of use and design factor categories. Samsung dryers scored 830 points on a 1,000-point scale to retain their top-ranked position for the fourth year in a row, further confirming that Samsung washers and dryers are steadily creating a reputation for quality among American consumers.
In addition, Samsung washing machines were chosen at the 2011 Green Apple Environment Awards for their environmentally friendly features, such as Samsung’s innovative “Bubble Wash” technology, by The Green Organization, a British non-profit environmental group.
The Green Organization recognized the excellent energy-saving qualities of Samsung bubble drum washing machines. These machines are the world’s first washing machines to use Bubble Wash technology, which has been certified in many European countries and which is steadily gaining a foothold in environmentally conscious consumer households the world over.
