The “Magnificent 7- UAE EXPO 2011”, an event to commemorate the UAE’s 40th National Day, was inaugurated yesterday by Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Yousuf Raza Gilani along with notable personalities from the UAE, namely, the Foreign Trade Minister of UAE, Ms. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi and the UAE Consul General, Mr. Sohail Bin Mathar Al Ketbi.
Other notable personalities that graced the event with their presence included Mr. Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Federal Minister for Commerce, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, Governor of Sindh and Mr. Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh.
Amer Khan, the Country Manager Etihad Airways considered the event to be a matter of pride, since it was a joint celebration with the National Day of the UAE. He was hopeful that the exhibition would be a successful and pleasant experience for all the guests in strengthening the ties between the UAE andPakistan. Furthermore, he extended the welcome to all present at the event.
The event, at the Karachi Expo Centre, is expected to attract both industry stakeholders and the general public and it will feature an extensive display of fine quality UAE goods and services. Furthermore, this event will also act as an investment conference involving prominent speakers from the UAE and Pakistan too.
Etihad Airways, the national airline of theUnited Arab Emirates, has been appointed as the official airline for the “Magnificent 7- UAE EXPO 2011” inKarachi, from November 30 to December 2, 2011.
