Microsoft support for Windows XP, including Windows XP Professional for Embedded Systems and Office 2003, ends on April 8, 2014, by which users will no longer receive any new security updates, free or paid assisted support options, or online content updates.
Microsoft’s decision to end Windows XP support is based on the concept to provide a new modern Windows platform that meets the demands of the modern workers and businesses and protect them against viable security threats and also keeping them updated on the latest technological trends and advancements.
Microsoft Windows 8.1 comes as the modern OS for modern businesses, building on Windows 7 fundamentals like speed, reliability and security, while creating an advanced platform designed to fully harness the power of cloud computing. It gives a direct and profound access to businesses, running with the latest technology and maintaining cost efficiency. Its additional business apps are enabled to transform a machine into highly productive device for business.
