Mobilink has announced Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute as the winners of Mobilink Rising Star 2014 competition after the Grand Finale concluded in Islamabad today. The members of the winning team received the Rising Start 2014 Trophy along with a total winning prize of PKR1.5 Million. Each member of the winning team will also be given internship opportunities at Mobilink, electronic gadgets, opportunity to star in the Mobilink Employer Branding Video, workshops at Mobilink Learning Center and membership of Mobilink Foundation.

Sadia Ahmad, VP HR Mobilink was also present at the event and lauded the efforts of all participants of Mobilink Rising Star 2014. The inter-university competition was held between HEC recognized institutes from across Pakistan. It was aimed at providing students with an opportunity to showcase their talent to bring a positive change to the society through passion, leadership and innovation.
The competition engaged more than 1000 students through information sessions which were held earlier in May 2014 top ranking universities. More than 240 students registered for Mobilink Rising Star 2014. These students competed in a video competition with the theme of creating ‘A Better Everyday’ through Telecommunications, Education and Community Welfare through which 60 students were short-listed for the Regional Finals. The National Finals were attended by teams from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, LUMS, NUST Business School and Bahria.
