Leila Serhan, the General Manager of Microsoft-NEPA region has stated that “the IT sector of Pakistan has immense potential”. She is currently on an official visit to Pakistan to review the potential and ongoing Microsoft projects in the country and meet with the dignitaries to discuss prospects of capacity building through the latest solutions and powerful innovations from Microsoft.
Talking to the media, Leila Serhan said; “I can see tremendous opportunities for growth and development in Pakistan. The new generation of young and talented developers has encouraged us to work more actively with the local market. I think, in a span of two to three years, this market will evolve and grow dramatically. Our objective is to foster innovation and education locally that can empower everyone”
“We are bringing our strategy of Cloud First, Mobile First to Pakistan and we see tremendous opportunities for individuals, businesses, and developers to embrace Cloud Computing.” She added.
Microsoft Pakistan has a number of programs running in the country, varying from social initiatives which include grants and software donations, training and infrastructure development of educational sector and startups to nurture the culture of entrepreneurship in the country.
