The senior officials and board of Directors from the “All Pakistan Business Forum” (APBF) called upon the Ambassador of United States of America in Pakistan – His Excellency, Mr. David Hale. The vibrant President of APBF – Mr. Ibrahim Qureshi led APBF’s National Board during this high-level meeting held at the US Embassy in Islamabad, recently.
The President of APBF – Mr. Ibrahim Qureshi paid a rich tribute to Mr. David Hale and the friendly government of USA, admiring the outstanding services towards strengthening the friendly relationships between Pakistan and the USA. He stated that; “It is a privilege for the APBF to work with a seasoned envoy like Mr. Hale, to extended all possible support to the business community. These cohesive endeavors have enabled valuable development initiatives, while attracting more foreign investments in Pakistan.”
The insightful deliberations were focused around effective measures for increasing bilateral trade and collaborative development programmes between Pakistan and the USA. The learned delegation comprised of the Chairman of APBF – Mr. Khalid Rafique, Secretary General of APBF – Syed Maaz Mahmood and other prominent members like; Mr. Aamir Barry and Mr. Asif (Tipu). These diplomatic and industrial experts shared their wisdom, to identify new untapped sectors of trade and industries, to nurture productive business ventures and accelerate growth.
The US ambassador appreciated the support provided by the vibrant business community and government sector of Pakistan. He stated that; “The APBF members are action-oriented entrepreneurs. Their expertise and diligence helps the international friends of Pakistan to identify the most potent sectors in Pakistan, to achieve global prosperity and poverty-alleviation in the region, besides enriching Pakistan’s image as a positive contributor to the global economy”.
The APBF is a vibrant business association which promotes and protects the interests of the business community and a wide range of industries in Pakistan. Its membership represents a diverse mix of industries, services and trades. The forum also advises reforms to the Government sector, regarding policy formulation, regulatory realignments and implementation in the commercial and industrial sectors of the economy. Over the years, APBF has been consistently playing a positive role in elevating the standards of professionalism, global engagement and transparency to enhance Pakistan’s share in the world of business, to ensure better quality of life for its citizens.
