Buksh Foundation has been awarded the 11th Annual Environment Excellence Award 2014, organized by the National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH). This prestigious award was presented to Buksh Foundation by the Governor Punjab – Chaudhry M. Sarwar, during a formal ceremony. Buksh Foundation was nominated for promoting environment friendly activities and projects to make outstanding contributions towards sustainable development and economic growth of the country.
Lighting a Million Lives- a renewable energy project makes use of solar energy to provide energy to off-grid villages of Pakistan. The project has impacted the lives of 33,750 beneficiaries directly and 67,500 indirectly. It is promoting and utilizing the immense solar energy potential, which Pakistan has.
Buksh Foundation is an impact-led, not-for-profit organization providingdistinguished services in the development sector of Pakistan. It is one of the leading organizations working in the development sector to uplift the living-standards of the impoverished communities.
Buksh Foundation has been making use of technologicalinnovative models and projects to create 360 degree impact on the society, through the use of renewable energy. Its various projects in the development sector have lead to large scale enhancements affecting thousands of people and the venture is on its way to impacts millions of more people.
Various other prominent organizations including;Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Pak Arab Refinery Company, Lucky Cement, Bestway Cement, Clariant, DG Cement, Kansai Paint, Archroma and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were also present at the ceremony.
