Daraz has launched the Asaan Hui Zakaat campaign to offer customers an easy and secure digital platform through which they can donate online to well-reputed non-profit organizations and help thousands of families across the country who are in need of support during these uncertain times. The campaign will allow donors to pay Zakat from their homes as they practice social distancing and reach beneficiaries in underserved areas across Pakistan.
Daraz has partnered up with a number of trusted organizations including Edhi Foundation, Saylani Welfare, Alkhidmat Foundation, Baitussalam and Shaukat Khanum Hospital for the Asaan Hui Zakaat campaign so that customers can donate to an organization of their choice. Daraz has ensured 100% of the donations received will be transferred to the organization without any deductions. The platform has also opened up international payment gateways to enable overseas Pakistanis to donate using their Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards.
“This Ramadan the country is facing a difficult and unprecedented period and we have launched the Asaan Hui Zakaat campaign to help our customers lend support to families in need in the most convenient manner possible. We believe that by standing together now, we will emerge stronger from this time,” said Almira Butt, Head of Daraz Cares at Daraz Pakistan.
Customers can choose from a number of donation packages listed on Daraz to reach families affected by the COVID19 pandemic and daily wage earners across the country. They can also sponsor rations or meals for Iftar or Sehri that will be distributed by the organisations. Fitrana can also be paid through the platform.
In order to donate, customers can simply head over to the Asaan Hui Zakaat page on the online shopping app Daraz, select the package they want to donate, pay digitally and they will receive confirmation on email.
