Mobilink, the pioneer in cellular services in Pakistan, has always given a very thoughtful heed to social work and community service under the umbrella of The Mobilink Foundation. With the same concern and vision to help the flood victims, Mobilink has now successfully completed the first phase of model homes in RohailanWali, Muzzaffargarh which is no less than a milestone.
Mobilink’s Director Public Relations and CSR, Omar Manzur said; “Our aim is to ensure that these new homes will prove to be a secure and comfortable residence for the deserving families. The structural designs of these homes follow the guidelines of ‘Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA)’ and the beneficiaries were selected on the basis of vulnerability after conducting a thorough field study under the supervision of the local DCOs. Giving back to the community is a core value at Mobilink, with a commitment to continue making concerted efforts to provide relief to the underprivileged”.
Over 60 homes are being constructed across Pakistan through the Mobilink Foundation which will facilitate the fellow dwellers by providing them one bedroom, rest room and a kitchen and a one foot high reinforced plinth and sturdy concrete pillars to support the structures and enhance flood-resistance. Also a team of volunteers from Mobilink will personally meet the home owners and will distribute gifts amongst the children.
In the coming weeks, Mobilink will be completing the construction of model homes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.
