PSEB’s has got new MD
Yasmin Masood has taken up additional charge of Pakistan Software Exports Bureau (PSEB) as Managing Director on Thursday after Imran Zia’s departure.
She is Joint Secretary Admin presently at Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) and likely to look after affairs at PSEB until the selection of new MD is completed.
The government has already advertised the vacancy announcement for post of MD PSEB.
According to details, the position demands high profile personality of IT industry having at least 15 years experience is required.
The candidate must have experience in International Marketing, Business Development and Project Management, the last few years of which should have been spent in heading major IT or ITeS (IT enabled Services) company or IT consulting organization within the country or abroad.
The applications have been received from interested candidates whereas the interviews and selections have yet to be conducted at MoITT.
Imran Zia Leaves PSEB
Imran Zia has left PSEB after serving two years of his tenure. He took charge of MD PSEB in January 2010 at times the organization had been working without head for past two years.
In his period, PSEB has geared up its different activities including ICT’s marketing and funding programs for young entrepreneurs.
Pakistan IT firms’ participation was seen active in global platform such as GITEX 2011 and Gaming Developers Conference owing to efforts and supports of PSEB.
However ICT industry tycoons were not happy with Zia’s role in PSEB against his capacity to deliver.
